File alias objects

You may occasionally find that you want to regularly access data from other applications while using Ambry. To help keep that data easily available to you, you can create file alias objects. A file alias object contains an alias to any file you can access from your machine, including on your local hard drive, any removable drives, and on remote file servers. To create a file alias object:

• Drag a file from any volume into the Ambry document.

The file alias object is created with the same name as the original file. Double-clicking a file alias object opens the file referenced by the object.
